Array ( [sid] => 22304 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => One God [time] => 2003-08-24 18:45:00 [hometext] => This poem titled 'one god' was written by me at the age of 15. i had went through the texts of ramayana, mahabaratha, baghavat gita and some portion the bible during the annual vacations of my 8th std 9th std and 10th std. with that exposure and the teachings from these various epics i could understand that religion is different only by nature and habits. it`s not different by the god whom we adore. although i did not emphasise on the basis of religion, but i lay emphasis on the basic functionalities of god. these functionalities are same may be by whichever way he is worshipped, and he is known by different names for people from different walks of life. the organisation at Poetry Plaza, Maryland, USA has so far published twenty of my poems in the site 'poetry.com'. This is the first one I had posted in the site. but now they have removed the names of India and Pakistan from their address list and hence I cannot post the poem by giving my address in India. Although I post the poem it does not appear in my coloumn. [bodytext] => Only one life will soon be past
Only what`s done for god will last

How often do we ignore the god?
Isn`t it wise to follow the lord

Wisdom without god is worthless and empty
Wisdom with god is fulfillment and joy

Thank the lord for the variety of changing seasons
There is no shelter than the shelter of his wings

Bless and pray for those who curse and mistreat you
Never forget that god is always personally concerned about you

Never forget to celebrate this god`s sacrifice for you
Fear locks you in but faith frees you

God is the only judge who makes no mistakes
To the believer this life is as bad as it gets

Seek and you shall find-Knock and the door will be open. Sincerly seek God and you shall find Him--Heb.11:6.
Nice write-I like your poem.
