Array ( [sid] => 22271 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => WED IN NATURE'S CATHEDRAL [time] => 2003-08-24 00:05:00 [hometext] => My son and I went to a friends wedding this last weekend. It was held outdoors and was so precious.....I could see touches of love everywhere....so I wrote it down for you to enjoy....
[bodytext] => Welcomed by flurrying sunflowers,
colored yellow by the rays of the sun.
'round the corner and near the door.

In God's Cathedral,
you take notice of his ceiling, and his floor.
Beautous blue August sky.
Luxurious carpet layered grass green.
Jovial jumping insects....taking in the scene!

The tables are set.
Bright white linen....tops adorn.
tiny stars, carefully done.
Butterflies made of cookie dough,
hover and skit.......
This wedding, so special, 'ner forget!

Bridegroom approaches a friend.
Visibly nervous, deep breathes to fend!
Happy heart, countenance show,
Radiant smile, eyes sparkling glow.

Bride's father, gracious man,
Shakes my hand, parents, we both understand.
For we too, in our prime,
stood stiffly, repeating our rhyme!

Two tiny tots, so easy to love lots!
Little basket in hand,
throw rose petals on grassy velvet aisle.
Precious moments,
our hearts smiling all the while.

We all rise, to bow to her beauty,.
Satin gown, chiffon sleeves flowing free.
Her proud father recites, "Her Mother & I"
Mother remembering, stands by.

"But it was just a moment ago,
I can vividly remember the day.
We walked her to school.....
Left her there 'cause we couldn't stay.
The next day, her father is giving her away!

A prayer is said in God's Cathedral.
Heads bowed, our thoughts full!
"Please help them as you did we,
Success won't be theirs,
unless there is always three!"

"I will," said the groom.
Promises of love even through times of gloom.
"I will," said the lovely bride.
We both promise to put others aside!
Honor one another, 'ner forget respect!
Two hearts joined, two hearts embrace.
Rings brought forth, as a symbol,
together, of the life they face.

Handsome well-dressed small boys.
Rings handled carefully,
like their favorite toys.
Another "heart-warming" moment of fun.
This truly is God's wedding......
he even included the very young!

"You may now kiss the bride!"
Tender scene for those whom reside.
Hearts wide-open as love abide.
"Turn now, and face them all."
Mr. & Mrs. we shall now recall!

Witnesses applaud, birds sing, hearts ring.
Trees sway with the gentle breeze.
Everything said, everything done with ease.

Remember this ceremonious event.
Two lives interlocked, heaven sent!
Marriages last with two "Good-Forgivers!"
Never sleep 'til you reconcile.
Hand in hand, two hearts of hope.
Walking forever, down "Life's Aisle."
