[title] => THE CURSE!

[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => I’ve made some folks laugh. I’ve made some folks cry. Some have done both. But I never knew why. Why such emotion Over a thing such as diction? Can’t they understand, Most of them are just fiction? A story’s a story, Though written in rhyme. Must it come from my heart, Each and every time? A thought or a memory. An experience or two. A song or a star. A snowflake or dew. A movie, a child, Or put yourself in one’s place. By wearing one’s shoes, Or seeing pain in their face. It’s true a soft heart When worn on one’s sleeve. Is inspired more easily When you’re down on your knees. But words are a curse That go round in my head. When I turn out the light, And while laying in bed. I’m so glad that I’m Not a statistician. That would be much worse Than writing just fiction.
