so far from home
lion's breath of safety
new life to roam.

Cried on a Monday
no fair this pain
chained to the railing
Mama's gone insane.

Walked on a Friday
fell and sat a bit
sidewalk's full of people
sighed and had a fit.

Moved on a Saturday
the truck stocked so full
not very far to go
no weight for me to pull.

Smiled for pictures on a Tuesday
raced around the mall
lost and forgotten
no one saw the fall.

Married on a Sunday
lost in a rut
buy your freedom at forty-two dollars
and simply let the door shut.

Died on a Wednesday
buried in the rain
walked through the darkness
learned to hide the pain. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 147 [topic] => 13 [informant] => jaeann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

How very very sad, Jayme....And you are so wise. You are so intelligent....that's why! You've been there? The land of no return....and back again!
I pray everyday you will heal....your heart, and soul....you deserve so very much...not just because of what you went through, but just because you are yhou!
Love and hugs
Connie Sue
