[bodytext] => The stars come out I watch them shine I lay underneath them Listening to their song all night I listen to their story Of other worlds of old The story of creation Of wisdom and knowledge untold. The specks of light in the sky They’re so much more They’re infinity, the one thing you can count on They’re something to reach for. I know I sound a little crazy Maybe just a little desperate But every night I lay there Wishing for someone with whom to share it. Because every night I lay there And dream of other places and things For a while forgetting the life I lead For a while no worries about anything For a while I can just be by myself with me. Of all the things in this world Stars are the only thing That at the end of the day, you know for sure They will be there, waiting. The world is so unpredictable But the stars have stability Though your husband may leave you, your house may burn down But you know the stars will always be. So I lay in my bed and say a little prayer Before I go to sleep Through the tears of a broken life I pray the stars watch over me.
