*repost* [bodytext] => The sunset cascading over the hills,
Casting its shadows, belying the real,
Showing a beauty showcased in pinks,
Taking your breath as you step back and think.
Black shapes dotted against the sky
Showing the birds as they take off and fly,
A slow breeze begins to trill
As the whistle in the wind lights the hills.
The colors gradually fade into night,
Provoking the shadows, making them fight
As they entagle themselves over the land,
And then banished by the moon's hands.
Lightly the stars twinkle and ring,
Showing their diamonds as they softly sing,
Then the lights slowly start to appear
As the sun rears its head, becoming near,
Then the day goes on as planned,
Another night has come, Another night banned.

I enjoyed this. I've always loved the night, the feeling of being wrapped in a enormous, all encompassing, dark blanket. Senses alive to the majesty of it all.........wonderful!

Greetings to a fellow night owl.

Holly

I`m constantly impressed with your writing Gins. I`ve read poems written by others 2 or 3 times your age who have yet to master what you appear to do so naturally. Your work is gentle but powerful. Great title. Thumbsucker

I agree with Gary ,Gin...your writing goes from strength to strength and you show great maturity for your age.
Love Chrissie x
I'm sorry I've fallen behind a bit with reading your work...I'll catch up though. x
