Outside
Sounds of summer
Children are laughing, and some are screaming
Giving chase to a far off fall,
or so it does seem to me now.
A dog is barking, high pitched and comforting to hear.
A mower, an airplane, my
elderly neighbor gossiping
Recognize

I do recognize what I hear everyday but, I never listened before.

I wish I could join them
I have longed for summer, on cold boring winter days. Now that she is here, in all her glory, without cloud or rain, or any excuse to overdress her, I feel listless. I fear summer has lost it's essence for me. A trip to the beach or an afternoon, if only in the backyard, running thru a sprinkler
These things are in order.
I feel I must carry warmth into the winter with me. As the summer fades, it does not die, if it lives on in fondest memory.

Oh, but still I am lucky somewhat. Hot, summer sex and an undeniable passion has befallen me this summer.
Up
Swept~
Up
I am in a love as indescribable as a desert sunset. Yes, you can always say it is beautiful but, you can never fully describe the tug your heart gives when you look upon it.
Pull on me.
Summer may be fading but, I know I maybe able to hold a piece thru love [comments] => 1 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 48 [informant] => alisialynn [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
