Array ( [sid] => 21893 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => scapegoat [time] => 2003-08-14 10:45:00 [hometext] => a better title would be "whipping boy", but i like this title better so deal with it. [bodytext] => my pulse will swear that i'm alive
my eyes will tell you otherwise
no human left inside to bleed
just a machine
an afterthought scapegoat to feed

scar me
i won't feel it
i'll laugh and call you "weak"
break me
i can take it
sever, molt, replace
take your anguish out on me
Nothing turned out like you planned
and now you need a scab to pick
that won't bleed on your hands

i won't be around
when things go well
i won't get in the way
but, when everything goes straight to hell
i'll be the one to pay
a latticework of whip scars
painted on my back
(hit harder, it tickles)
but, i'll scream to make you laugh

tell me you're special
that you deserve better
i will always agree
tell me you're not fat, or ugly, or stupid
you'll get no argument from me
break my nose, strangle me
unless you want, i won't complain
spit in my face, pour salt in the sores
i'll be counting sheep behind the pain

scar me
i won't feel it
i'll laugh and call you "weak"
break me
i can take it
sever, molt, replace
take your anguish out on me
Nothing turned out like you planned
and now you need a scab to pick
that won't bleed on your hands

one day, i will be obsolete
the beatings will tear me apart
my eyes will dim, my joints will rust
and "they'll" unplug my electronic heart
when i am deleted, i'll be replaced
and the beatings will go on
for satan isn't the only goat
who bore a thousand young

scar them
they won't feel it
they'll laugh and call you "weak"
break them
they can take it
sever, molt, replace
take your anguish out on them
cuz Nothing turns out like you plan
and now you need a scab to pick
that won't bleed on your hands
and now you need a wife to beat
who won't leave you for another man [comments] => 2 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 34 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )
