Array ( [sid] => 21792 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Memories Of A Vet [time] => 2003-08-12 08:05:00 [hometext] => This poem is written by myself and The Phantom, His line are in ", mine are not. Thanks Phantom for helping me write this.

Kane [bodytext] => " From the jungles of Nam, I say goodbye to my mom,
I'm only 18, man this is like a bad dream,
I'm fighting a war on someone elses shore,"

Visions of death, and bullets ripping through chests,
Napon drops, and bodies that rot,
Face down in the mud, covered in someone elses blood,

" Death in the trees, how can you fight something you can't see,
Fear in my eyes, I'm too young to die,
Rain falls, I'm trying so hard to ansewer the call,"

It's called hell on Earth, my face covered in dirt,
A granade hidden in a diper, the Lt. hit by a sniper,
Screw the Vietcon, start dropping the bombs,

" Going on patrols, wondering if I'll make it home,
Memories of friends, in this war they met their end,
Looking to the sky, praying I'll survive,"

LB doesn't care, cause he doesn't have to be here,
How dare you spit on me, I risked my life to keep you free,
I thought comming home would be nice, now I'm thinking twice,

" You know Kane, I'd rather be in Nam,"
Your right Phantom, getting shot at and bombed.

Heart & Soul
Kane
