Places I can only imagine.
I go to many different places as many different people,
And become my own generation.

I wish I were my thoughts sometimes, they carry me places, like the back of my mind.
Where cobwebs lie, I blow them away.
And when dreams go, I make them stay.
If only it were real sometimes, I’d go so many places, at completely different times.

In the back of my mind it’s odd sometimes,
Things that I can’t even believe.
Sometimes I’m so helpless in a crumpled up world,
I fear there’s only one thing I see.

In the back of my mind I feel fearless at times,
Where I’m as brave as “Super Man,”
No one can beat me at anything I do,
Or even stand a chance.

In the back of my mind, I float sometimes,
Like a cloud drifting in the sky.
Like a cloud among others where you’re not all the same.
But it’s like that most times in life.

In the back of my mind, dwell secrets sometimes,
Secrets I don’t even know.
I find them out, and let them go.
I fear there’s nothing to hide.

In the back of my mind, I find rainbows sometimes,
Rainbows only I can touch,
And walk to the other end where this isn’t all that much,
But pots of gold, and unicorns too, where mermaids dwell inside the deep blue.

In the back of my mind, they’re many things you can find.
Bravery and secrets, and all are combined,
I like to drown myself in my mind sometimes,
Where there are no worries (in the back of my mind).

If you'd take me I'd gladly go
To this place only you know
Come on help me and be kind
Take me in the back of your mind.
