By Candlelight...

Topic: LovePoetry

My sleep does not come easily
For in the loneliness of night
I lie awake for many hours
Thoughts of you,by candlelight

The missing deep inside of me
Holds me captive in its cry
I turn to face the window
And look out to the moonlit sky

I know you're out there somewhere
And I wonder if you're aware
That I lie here feeling so alone
In a bed that we should share

I think about the tenderness
In the way you speak my name
I smile through my endless tears
This missing holds no shame

One lonely satin pillow
Holds my every fallen tear
Another one lays empty
It is waiting for you here

I close my eyes and dream away
My hand reaches for your face
And for a precious tiny moment
I'm taken to another place

A place where there is you and I
And nothing in between
Somewhere that when I hold you
Isn't just within a dream

My love, I wait so faithfully
With hope inside my heart
That soon will come our special day
When we're no longer tides apart

As I lie here in the silence
Missing you all through the night
My only comfort comes from
Thoughts of you,by candlelight

very lovely poem I really liked it and enjoyed reading it.
-----------------------------
That sweet poem reached down my soul
And I would guess that was your goal
Every night just hold on tight
And he'll come to you at candlelight.
