So peacefully camouflaged
Safe from most predators
In a world so harsh
Surrounded by such horrors
Can offer no comfort
Still in danger
Still hiding behind changing guises.
A vulnerable target in a world so cold.

All the world walk by,
Targets on their backs
Each to their own
Each susceptible to different foes
Wounded by others ignorance.
Closer to home,
Small incidents leave craters below
Effect the common man more
Global bomb shells go unnoticed.

The chameleon differs
Every intention paid to the outer world
For this, the only way to survive
An example to be learnt
In a survival of the fittest environment
Adaptation, assimilation, hiding in the shadows,
The only way to live.

I must say I enjoyed how you strayed away from the usual "Let's bash Israel" or "Let's bash the Muslims" that ppl usually go on. I don't know what else to say except that this poem is write on the money. In order for there to be any peace in this world we stop hating because or religious values and colour of skin and we must stop the ignorance. Especially if that ignorance is wielding a gun or a bomb. I liked the last two lines. Once again a solid poem.

I really like the metre of the poem and the adaptation asimilation rhyming grabbed me and emphasises the only way to live point, I also really like the perspective this poem gives and the image of the chamileon tying it all together in the last verse is great.
