the five senses
of a parents hate [bodytext] => I see you face before my eyes
But it is I you cannot see
I see the love you cannot give
Refuse to give to me

I smell the beer in your breath
But you cannot see my tears
I can see the way you’re acting
Hiding behind your fears

I taste the lies you say to me
But I pretend I do not know
I will always feel neglected
And so, so alone

I can touch your outer body
But you cannot feel the devotion
I can see that you don’t need me
And feel no real emotion

I hear the words you say to me
But I do not understand
How you can hurt me time after time
And still call yourself a man

tinka belle this is wonderful, well expressed and well written...such an awful tragedy for children to go through so much at such a tender young age. I really enjoyed this, the last line is what really grabbed me for their is so much truth to it...fabulous. Krystal :)

Yep, I can relate to this. I just submitted a poem about my parents, in fact. They can be real, well, buttholes. :P

you have been through so much. these horors that happen when we are children stay with us through our lives... i hope you have been able to cope a little bit... you have a lot of hurt that you mask with your hatred... a touching write... its good to know there are other ppl who have gone through similar things as me, but i wish no one else had too... ~Apryl
