Array ( [sid] => 21118 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => #200: That Which Sustains Me [time] => 2003-07-28 04:05:00 [hometext] => This is only my 100th poem on the "new" site, but my first 100 are on the old site. I did this poem the same way as my #100, same amount of people too, but only 2 that are mentioned in this one are mentioned in that one. Shows how much things can change in barely over a year. I thought it was quite fitting that I get to do this now, since I'm moving away from all these people (except the one I'm going with) in a couple weeks. [bodytext] => It's never easy to say goodbye
But it's time for me to start a new life
So this is for everybody who's been there for me
A dedication to those who sustain me
I love you and thank you from the bottom of my heart

Codi:

With you there's always lots of laughs
And I thank you on this world's behalf
For that and the tickets to Avril
We had a blast, it was such a thrill
I'll be back, you know I will
I wanted to watch you mature
To see if they ever found a cure
For what makes you a little crazy
What makes you turn the world so hazy?
Let's hang out and be lazy

Dave:

Although you're far away from me
You're as good to me as you can be
You gave your time 'cause I asked you to
I trusted you and you saw right through
For that I really thank you
Summer wouldn't have been the same
I needed somebody and you came
I can't leave without saying goodbye
'Cause of the fun we had, you and I
And on that I do rely

Ian:

Where oh where do I start with you?
The boy with the pretty eyes so blue
It's been five years and I love you still
'Cause of you I believe in angels
One gold star, heartstrings were pulled
You can't surprise me anymore
One thing's for sure, you're never a bore
Sometimes I wonder what might have been
If right then I hadn't been taken
I hope you find peace within

Jaime:

Just as you're coming, I'm going
The cruel winds of Fate must be blowing
But we know we'll always keep in touch
And I'll always miss you very much
You're a dependable crutch
You kept me strong in my beliefs
And chased away some shadows of grief
I see you in every island tree
You'd understand why it sets me free
See ya 'round and Blessed Be

Ryan:

If you weren't here, who would we pick on?
'Cause let's face it, you're no paragon
My favourite little alcoholic
Always up for some fun and frolic
You think you're diabolic
The biggest chimney smoking dork
Sometimes I wanna stab you with a fork
But I admit you are a good friend
'Cause to get me drunk you'll always spend
You're sorta like man's best friend

Emily:

My dear best friend, before I go
There's one little thing I hope you know
You were my only motive to stay
My only reason to hesitate
And I'll miss you every day
You're my beautiful butterfly
I still know our love will never die
No one else makes me feel like you do
I just wanted to make sure you knew
We're still under the same moon

Dean:

You're the one who's coming with me
The one I'm not leaving behind me
We're gonna live our lives together
And we know it'll last forever
Through good and stormy weather
It doesn't matter what they say
We're gonna be happy anyway
All that matters is that we believe
And even if we're being naive
Come what may, I'll never leave

Remember this is not forever
Not in any way whatsoever
But I thought you deserved this 200 spot
It's not about me moving, it's about what I've got
Whether in my heart or in person, you're all coming with me [comments] => 3 [counter] => 197 [topic] => 55 [informant] => MoonlitAngel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )

Oh wow, Dee. You never have anything not wonderful to say. Beautiful poem, man, and I know we'll see each other. We'll always be together in spirit. Thank you for always being there for me, and I'll miss you greatly. Like you said, this is not forever.

Love Always,
Em

Oh Dee! This, like the 100, is beautiful. I didn't deserve that spot, and I don't deserve this one, but I love you. And I miss you.

Blessed Be,
Jaime
