[hometext] => I was reading in the Forums about poetry.com, and thought i'd write what I think of that particular site here on YPDC :)
[bodytext] => STAND ASIDE! I wanted to say International Poet of Merit coming through! But then I delved a little deeper And found out it was a scam, a pile of poo. I'd won a bowl on a rosewood base And a medallion with 25 inch ribbon But then I read some other talents Which must have been written by a gibbon. They wanted hundreds of dollars For a trophy I had "won" And even more to publish me They really are a poetry.con They said I was a real talent Winning this a real feather in my cap But they said this to everyone else too They were liars it was all a load of crap. I will submit this poem to poetry.com Saying they can all go to hell But the ultimate irony of that is... I bet this damn poem wins as well!
