Array ( [sid] => 20995 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => FINALLY, IT'S ALL RIGHT TO CRY! [time] => 2003-07-26 00:05:00 [hometext] => After so many years of torture as a child, and then as an abused wife, I was afraid to cry. I felt that if I ever started, I couldn't stop and would die! [bodytext] => In touch with feelings,
After a lifetime of years!
Afraid to feel, too many fears!

Unknown future, scary yesterdays!
Borrowed uneasiness.
Uncertain tomorrows.
Will they bring happiness,
or, intense sorrows?

I'll feel no feelings today!
Suppress them, they all "Fly Away!"
At last, peaceful setting,
Finally safe!

Feelings begin to emerge.
Little by little, day by day!
Powerful, and unknown?
Like feeling "brand-new," clearer view?

Hurtful experiences, and
dreaded emotions surface,
like dross atop simmering silver.
Don't turn down the fire!
Skim the dross from your bleeding heart!
Rid your mind of the "Spider-Web,"
that entraps negative thoughts!
Echoes from your past until you are dead!

Warm, cold, anger, joy.....
Testing for control, unafraid?
Courage only with a prayer,
another for faith!
Churning, unlikely fate!
In dangerous waters....they soon dissipate!

It's all right to display your emotions!
It's all right to acknowledge your grief!
It's all right to feel love in your heart again!
It's all right to feel, go ahead and cry!
It's all right! It's all right!
Practice...... you won't die!

Surfacing confidence, self-esteem.
Heart mending from hopeless woes.
No longer dreading
any hurtful, hostile foes!

Still, many left deep in the past!
Can't go "There!"
Be still my mind.
Please go slowly, not so fast!
Someday, I'll recall.......
But only, when I can handle them all!

For all the ladies
who are afraid to cry.
I do it quite often now.....
'Tis like a beautous spring rain,
Cleansing a tortured soul.......
Washing away all bleeding hearts!
Slowly, a bouquet of exquisite
"Com-passion-ate" flowers take bloom.
It's all right to cry now.....there's plenty of room!

This is a good write. It's alright to feel and live. A deeply touching poem. I like it.
