Ilhar:

In the mirror I did look
All my life was an open book
For this mirror showed the real me
And it was frightful to see

Not just the good did show
But the evil what a terrible blow
To my heart that deep within
I could have such great sin

Crys:

But turn the page, and wipe the glass
Of the mirror and find, alas,
Over the years, I have changed,
I am not doomed to be deranged.

Behind the mask, the mirror does see,
Knows the reality that defines me
What I’ve been through, how I’ve grown,
And how I’ve come to know what I know.

Lovewriter:

For here I stand, it’s what you see
The true and open me
For you and all, I open my heart
It’s where I’ve stood from the start

I opened myself before you now
It’s the only way that I know how
To let you in and see the real me
I write it all out for you to see

Ilhar:

No longer my soul is dark as night
For I have found the true light
And my heart shines through the pain
I see a rainbow after the rain

Nearly over is my time here
But now I have no fear
For I have known love and sorrow
And with God will be all my tomorrows [comments] => 4 [counter] => 314 [topic] => 45 [informant] => YPDC_Group_Writes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => group )
