Array ( [sid] => 20742 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => YOUR TEA PARTY [time] => 2003-07-20 21:45:00 [hometext] => I just found wonderful friends, that I haven't seen for over 35 years. What a joyful event, however my friends sister just died, and the reunion starts out very sad! [bodytext] => A joyful reunion, a friend from long ago.
Carefully petalled rose,
Each petal, a wonderful memory,
Remembered , "Just So!"

I came to your sorrow, a cup of tea.
I brought, not sugar, but much empathy.
I brought you a beautiful rose,
It was a precious "Gift from God!"
And, like my heart, it was
delicately created, without hurtful thorns,
Heartfelt petals, from the very start!

Each petal had a different purpose,
Each had a different name,
Loving kindness, compassion, goodness,
Comforting care, and concern,
Fellow feelings of pain.
Each petal, thoughtfully, carefully aimed.

As we peel these petals from our heart..
Each a wonderful memory...
But where do we start?
High school was such a carefree time
Pimples and Sea Breeze, all was just fine!
Long hair with Bobbie pins placed at the end of our locks,
Was a guarantee to bring all the handsome boys, in flocks!

This petal is funny,
Let's reminisce.....Remember the time?
I danced on the table in that night club?
I was fully clothed with my little red umbrella,
for all to view?
No one stopped me, everyone laughed,
Especially You!

Or how 'bout the time your hubby Butch,
Wore his "Maiden Form" Bra
Size 53, with cups of "4-D?"
What a fun party for Halloween.
I've never gone as another "Outhouse!"
nor thank God, anything inbetween!

Invisible you wanted to be...
When as a respectable teacher,
You ended up somehow, eating in a house of "Illrepute!"
If your school board ever found out...
They'd have given you the "Boot!"

We peel another memory petal
and what do we find?
A long and happy marriage for you....
Beautiful children, and grandchildren too!

Every rose has it's thorns that hurt...
We peel a sad petal for Bob....
I lost him, and so many years have past!
But the wonderful memories of him will always last!

Thank you dear friend from long ago!
My, how I've enjoyed your tea!
The rose I brought to you will never die.
Each petal we peel for each day...
Will renew our love in a very special way!

We may be a thousand miles apart..
but that's not very far away...
'cause you're now a rosebud blooming in my heart,
Each and every day!

Written with much love for my very special friend!
