and these days it's hard to find a true friend
I turn on the TV and all I hear
Is horrible things that turn life into fear
Someone is killed everyday
Someone is assaulted in everyway
I wonder how people could be so cruel
so heartless, such fools
I can't even hurt a fly
and God knows I don't wanna make anyone cry
Why do people have to lie?
Making people suffer and go through pain
all this hatred drives me insane
How can people hate and how long must I wait for all this hatred to go away
I see these horrible things on TV every single day
It makes me wonder how I'll die
if I'll be killed for no reason why
I wonder if a killer has a real heart
or if they've been treated bad from the start
Why do they kill?
What gives them that deadly thrill?

I know the lies will never end
and these days it's hard to find a true friend
I turn on the TV and all I hear
Is horrible things that turn life into fear
Someone is killed everyday
Someone is assaulted in everyway
I wonder how people could be so cruel

It's so true.... such horrible things happen (especially to children.) This is so sad. But also so true.
