To warm my shadowed heart
You healed many open wounds and
Made smooth all their scars
You gave to me the other half
Of my incompleted soul
You filled my life with hopes and dreams
And made my each day whole
You gave my life new meaning
So direction I could find
Helping me to trust again
To leave the past behind
Promises you made to me
Of times that would be ours
Trips made to the country
Where you would pick me wild flowers
You showered me with tenderness
And soft kisses in the rain
Inviting me into your heart
Saying there I would remain
Well then why'd you take my sunshine
To leave me shadowed once again
You broke the promises that you made
Gone.....as easy as they came
Yes,you cared for open wounds
And softened this frightened heart
But only so you could walk on in and
Yourself, tear it apart
You can tell by how I'm writing
Not the way I usually do
There's no essence or true beauty
And it's all because of you
I guess I should be angry but
What would it really prove and
And I cannot just pretend
That I'm not missing you
For I believed in everything you said
I thought there was honesty in your words
I trusted you with my everything
I guess I got what I deserved. [comments] => 8 [counter] => 168 [topic] => 22 [informant] => LovingWhispers [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Dear Lovingwhispers,
Don't ever think for one minute that is what you deserve. It is not! You trusted him, and had no reason to think he would not love you alot!
He's shown his true colors, and you think you deserve his kind?
Drop the image of this person like a lead balloon....clear him from your mind!
There's someone just like you waiting to be true....keep on trusting, but never ever cry over someone who would never cry over you!
Heartrendering poem, I could feel everything you felt. Wonderful words and rhyme....It just wasn't your time!
Warm Loving thoughts,
Lovingcritters

Whispers, this is such a sad poem..I hope it is just fiction.... if not, I'm terribly sorry... I can feel so much hurt in this poem...

Heartbreak is a feeling
That nobody deserve
I'd stick him to the ceiling
