Array ( [sid] => 20688 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => I've lost my Muse [time] => 2003-07-19 20:35:00 [hometext] => I seem to have been so busy with writing comments and forum replies that I have hardly written any poetry at all.

So I picked up my "pen" and called my muse

She'd left a message [bodytext] => "So where've you been, what's your excuse
you have not called upon your muse
you have not asked for inspired views
from which you could a verse infuse

Well tough! .....I've just gone on a cruise
to Instanbul and Syracuse
to meet old friends, to pay my dues
and get the latest poet's news

And no...I'm making no excuse
I care not what outcome ensues
you did your lovely muse abuse
and all without a good excuse

Stuck for words? got none to use?
no joke? no plot? no clever ruse?
nothing there that will amuse?
poor old Wrybod got the blues?

no you haven't.
Pretty inspirational considering
that fooling around with words
is what takes to amuse the muse.

My muse is not a happy one
she has her little ways
and sometimes almost nothing comes
for days and days and days

We all know the feeling
That sends us areeling,
We end a thought and then,
Like we'll never write again,

Must be like the thought of divorce
You can't go on (from a dubious source)
In both cases I think as quick as a wink
Brush yourself off and get back on the horse...

Keed going, my friend,
It is never the end...

I guess it is the crunch of things
when now and then a bunch of things
all come together to conspire
a lack of normal "boiler fire"

I seemed to have no head of steam
no peace and quiet in which to dream
no energy to make me tick
and feeling proper poorly sick

Well now I've sorted out my ills
a day in bed, a box of pills
encouragement from all my friends
I'll set myself to make ammends.
