And floods the eyes.The ruddy flame within
Turns frosty blue and hardens against the din
Of senseless strife that deep within us start.
Ah, winter greets us round the bend. Friends part
Like strangers even before the cold sets in.
And words that fly from lips grown pale and thin
Like arrows,poison-tipped, they sting and dart!
Then comes the final wave of hands that cleave
The rancid air. And chasms dropping sheer
Devour the ground from under lover's feet.
The frigid tears embossed in ice deceive
So well that now the act of loving's mere
Display of flowers thrown round an idol's feet [comments] => 4 [counter] => 194 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Sanju [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Sanju your imagery is superb. You make the reader feel your words, not just read them. This is a truly exceptional write, loved it.
