[hometext] => This is a true story about my special M&M Hat. It's told by my M&M Hat! I had lost it and now it is back! I wrote this poem out of joy!
[bodytext] => I'm a M&M Hat! I was born in a Grocery Store. What do you think about that? All alone, I had to endure, I wasn't lonely, until I saw her! Wearing another baseball hat, Then I knew, she'd have to try me on! Perched upon her head, My loneliness & sadness, were all gone! I could feel how very much she loved me! For she never left me behind! I felt like a Queen sitting on her throne! One lady even offered her money.... She said, "No I won't be left alone!" Bright yellow make-up... With different colored M&M's! carefully placed, row by row, adorn my cheeks, such a nice warm glow! Everyone complimented me, And passed me all around. They all agreed, I was the most unique hat.... They'd ever found! Accidentally I was placed in a sack, And mistakenly carried to the attic. I was missing for two whole years. She was lonely, we both shed tears. A young man I knew, Began to clean my residency. Oh, how I hope he wouldn't miss me! Alas.....he looked in my sack. I heard him say, "You're M&M hat is back!" Our reunion was a "tearful Joy!" Thanks to that wonderful young boy! She placed me upon her head. She was so glad to have me back, She was even going to wear me to bed! I was place on her nightstand, instead! She's far more than just a "head" to me Why, we fit together like crumpets & tea. There'll be no more sacks, forever more!! Even if I was born in a Grocery Store! I collect baseball hats...this one is my favorite!
