Array ( [sid] => 20628 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => The Will is Gone [time] => 2003-07-18 14:35:00 [hometext] => I'm not sure at all about this poem. I struggled with the perfect way to end it. Its still a work in progress so please any suggestions are welcome. [bodytext] => when you ask me whats wrong
i don't even know where to begin
everyday is a useless attempt
at a life so empty so hopeless
i dread the morning light
that shins through my bedroom window
its nothing more than a constant reminder of what lies ahead
just another day filled with the lies of the untrustful
i have lost all incentive of living
no one to care for
no one to miss
no real reason to continue on
if you make me choose between life or death
i invite death in with welcoming arms
for this life of mine, is no life
it's me
slowly
losing hope
losing feeling
losing strength
losing all that i once was
and all that i will never get back
apart of me has been dying each day
little by little
piece by piece
until one day
the will is gone
and there is none of me left to fight [comments] => 3 [counter] => 140 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Jenefur [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

poems like life are always works in progress ...
both respond to rewriting

this is a strong statement of a situation that we all find ourselves in from time to time

good write
