To stand before your eyes
Naked but for honesty
And without my body's cries

Where do I gather love to hold
To breathe within my soul
Love for myself,then finally
Be a woman one and whole

When you cast your eyes upon me
May they roam without disgust
Unlike my own before the mirror
On occasions,when I must

Love me as you say you do
Ignore my self incarceration
You may think I smile with confidence
Yet it's more..determination

I know that when the time comes
No matter what you say
No matter how much you love me
I'll still be locked away

Hiding from the shame of me
Running from the pain
Knowing my life as a woman
Will never be the same

Something lost,I grieve for
I will until the end of time
Want nothing more than yesterdays
When sweet womanhood was mine [comments] => 3 [counter] => 161 [topic] => 48 [informant] => LovingWhispers [notes] => [ihome] => 1 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

The Woman You Are

When I close my eyes
I see you
when I touch your breath
with my lips
I feel your longing
when I hold you safely in my arms
I let you strengthen me
needing me
when I look at you
I see the woman you are.

Every woman is her own facet of God's greatest creation. And He has saved her for His precious daughters.

Chuck.
