Array ( [sid] => 20437 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Six Million [time] => 2003-07-15 03:05:00 [hometext] => This was written after I read some really sad stuff about the Holocaust [bodytext] => six million casualties
to one psychopathic ruler's hate
hesitated help
was obviously too late
six million left for dead
in the fires flame
killed for their faith
intolerance to blame
six million memories preserved
by their families with love
six million look down on us
from heaven up above
millions more tortured
bleeding from the pain
six million died for who they were,
six million died in vain.
to an agonizing death
millions gased without shame
six million killed for their faith
intolerance to blame
families seperated
children killed like meat
sons and daughters watched
as their parents were brutally beat
one simple mistake
lead to be victim of a maul
sometimes even murdered
for no reason at all
and if one victim was to flee
ten shot in his place
dehumanized to animals
left without a face
six million led
like sheep to the slaughter
a last loving embrace
between a father and his daughter
before both were inspected
and sent a different way
one to work to death
while the other the gas would slay
five year old girls golden tresses
chopped off as she cry
then sent unremorsefully to the chambers
where she would prematurely die
six million casualties
six million put to death
six million innocent souls
ripped from their last breath
one victim of this hate
thought people were still good
if only the victim's killers
could have understood
but the killers have been punished
their maker they have met
and although we have forgiven
we will never forget
so whats the perfect justice
for the millions of lives lost
the best thing we can do
is end hate at any costo [comments] => 7 [counter] => 142 [topic] => 31 [informant] => TeenageEmoGirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )

The atomic bomb put an end to nation fighting nation and has left us with terrorism.

It is still way beyond our capabilities to settle our differences peacefully.

Another amazing write. What happened was so sad. I learnt all about it in history class and I was sitting there nearly crying in the middle of my class. My teacher and the other students weren't quite sure if I was completly normal. But yes I agree with the above comments. Great work
