They take my hand
The soft, enchanting melodies
Blur what I think I understand

Each taking turns
They twirl me around
I’m like a ballerina
In a black satin gown

They whisper things of long ago
As we dance around the starlight
They remind of times lost in my memories
As they sing their sweet song of my demise

They wrap me in their trance
As they fill my head with sorrow
They know the nightmares they’ve caused me
No sleep for me tomorrow

But all this they do not care
They just want to hear me scream, see me fight
As I dance with the demons of my past
In the iridescent moonlight
