Who think of the film and not the event
And who’s motivation has only one intent
To make that movie image real

This particular scene is replayed
in their waking dreams
Many instant replays
Complete with horror screams

There are not less but more
men such as these
Since barbaric Bush
Put Iraq on its knees

Instead of greater security and safety
You will find that these men
Are filled with more fury than ever
And await the moment when

They can strike as hard and as often
As they possibly can
And wreak the revenge of
three thousand dead
That will be their plan

All this is down to Bush
And his simplistic ways
Use military might
Attack anyone who disagrees

Be as numbskulled as possible
In a bravado show
Make believe you’re omnipotent
Instead of a dumb Joe

But all this ugly rhetoric
Only serves his cronies
It doesn’t serve the people
Just a bunch of phonies

Who only stand to deceive
And create a military state
Who have stupendous egos
Filled with ugly hate

On this independence day
On your joyous July Four
Realise you are in more danger now
Than you ever were before [comments] => 0 [counter] => 145 [topic] => 41 [informant] => Steeleyes [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => political )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
