it was rather frightening.
The doctor could not prescribe a medicine,
to curb my fear of this hell I had witnessed.
What was with all the lights and colors?
Different identifications were very peculiar.
It seems as if though,
I had this happen before.
The sensations I felt, while trying to refocus,
brought images of that of a rather colorful drink.
Stretches of the imagination were obvious,
and that frightened me rather severely.
What do you call a dream that does not end?
Where a continuous moment of fiery and agony,
burns deep within, as you struggle to free yourself.
This is no dream my doctor told me,
because he was not actually my doctor, nevertheless human form.
He was a gaping hole inside my mind.
That hold surrounds my brain like cancer,
causing my body to suffer and fall asleep.
He was right, this was not a dream,
rather my everyday reality from beneath.
Never again can I escape. . . [comments] => 3 [counter] => 217 [topic] => 13 [informant] => apollo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

You say that this was something you felt while you were asleep. I've had the same experiences before myself, and I know how hard it is to put it in writing. Good job, and keep on writing!

Sounds like you had a psychotic episode.
What you are writing about is very deep
check my poem ' Lucid dreamer'.
