Like a warm greeting from a friend
The weather decieves the day's reason
Why I am standing by your side

I tell you about my new love
You should meet him so you can approve
I inform you your daughter is looking well
More like you every day

I gently smile at the thought of us
So long ago and so vividly remembered
The memory of when we first met,
Of when we were forced to say goodbye

A tear drops softly to the ground
Saying more than my words.
I try to tell you I'm doing fine
But I never could lie to you

I lay the flowers by your side
Right next to the last letter I wrote
I lay the picture of our daughter beside
The place where you now rest. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 260 [topic] => 24 [informant] => Lady_bubbles420 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )
