Array ( [sid] => 19529 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Tiny Flower [time] => 2003-06-24 18:45:00 [hometext] => I lost a baby at 13 weeks - it had not formed after the 7th week, and I carried it for a month and a half with no heartbeat. I like to think it wanted to stay with me, but fate wanted it to bloom elsewhere.
[bodytext] => Tiny flower, small and precious,
I’m so sorry you did not bloom.
I didn’t get to feel you move,
Contented in my womb.

Tiny gift, small and ideal,
I’m so sorry your wrapping frayed.
You were all that was left of my special world;
I wish that you had stayed.

Tiny baby, small and perfect,
You didn’t stay long enough to see,
That I’d loved your sire with all my heart,
And you were his gift to me.

Tiny child, I miss you so,
But it wasn’t meant to be,
And the love I will always have for you,
Must now live in my memory.

It seems whenever I visit this site someone has written something I desperately needed to read. You are the poet who has touched me this evening. I suffered a tubal pregnancy in January which explains my lapse in writing and my absence from the site. I was physically sick and even sicker at heart. My fiance pretty much left me to process this on my own and I was not strong enough to do so. I was very early along and the thought of you carrying the child and then losing it breaks my heart for you. That would have killed me. I found I was pregnant on a Sunday and was losing the baby the following week.
I just wanted to let you know I know how you feel. Your poem is absolutely beautiful. I believe poetry is very theraputic and I hope writing this helped you in some ways to dissolve your loss. God bless you and thanks.

:-'(""" Crying for you! I,too, have lost a child.
I was 8 1/2 months along when mine
stopped getting oxygen, and I was made to carry him for a week until my body naturally
"rejected" him. I can relate to your pain.As my son would have been 20 yrs old last dec.2nd.
and in my heart and soul...he forever dwells!!
Accept my sympathy and prayers....for you,and your tiny flower!!!!!
Beautifully expressed!
Angel always.....godspeed! joni
