[bodytext] => I look back across my life,
And I see trouble and I see strife,
And I feel loss, and pain, and hurt, and disgrace.
A tear falls from my eye.
There are no clouds up in the sky.
And I hate the sun that's shining on my face.

I think of all I've done,
How far along the road I've come,
And I wonder if I'll always feel this way.
What have I to show
For all my years? Well, I don't know.
But I don't want the sun shining on me today.

I'm drowning in depression
And it's becoming an obsession,
And I can see no way out to set me free.
I've done nothing in my time,
There is nothing that I've made mine,
And I hate the sun that's shining down on me.

To the park I take a walk,
And sit alone there deep in thought,
And I think about the children that are mine.
They are my silver lining,
And the sun is still there shining,
But now I don't think I really mind.

And with all my thoughts to spend,
I'd forgotten you, my friend,
For in your heart I know I have a place.
My life is good, you see,
For I love you, and you love me,
And I love the sun that's shining on my face.

I've felt this way so many times. I loved the way you ended it.
