she sat and meditated, on the earth......
and of the whole earth, of man, stars and birth,
transending in to her consciousness and heart
humble poetess finding pathways to her mystic art,
finding a reason for it all, and thus the poems fire
that man himself must the utmost wonderous desire,
quiet peace and birdsong filled her ears and soul
hush now, beauty softly sleeps deeply within' the whole,
she could now justify honestly what she had then begun
her thoughts about the actions of the sky, moon and sun,

narration of her mind, to heart, in whispers harmony
of all the wonderous creatures, surely man, it must be he,
her face looks out to all the vast canvases of this life
faire as moon, strength of sun, sorrows dim as hope is bright,
fill the spring of your soul with waterfalls imaginings
let trickling river become raging soul filled sea of dreams,
and mountain peaks reach for the sky in unending time
enclosed in mists and clouds, sun streaked in beauty's rhyme,
a spirit from this heart bursts forth to sing and shine
like nature's quiet music earth's heart is thine.

Both you and Jan have this magic ability to suspend time and space for the mind to roam.

It takes me back to a time when we spent many hours on "stand by" at our dispersal
on the edge of the airfield miles from anywhere. I used to lay in the grass and drift, just as you describe, no....exactly as you describe.

Thank you, thank you, for taking me back to probably the most intense time in my life.

That....was living!
