since my mother passed away,
I try to detach myself but
I am backed against the wall.

Those tears turn into a heavy rain -
A never ending flood.
I feel as thought I'm drowning -
Slowly going insane.

As the months roll slowly by
and memories begin to fad,
Ever so slowly I realize that
A piece of my heart has died.

I have to believe that I will see
my mother in another lifetime -
No malls, no shopping no hanging out
A reunion on a higher degree.

That just fine - I'll take it - As long
as it's Mom and me.

I know how difficult this is (I lost my father just over a year ago). Try to be strong. I am sure loads of people have said this to you but it does get easier. It never goes away but it does get easier.

Fantastic poem.

Im SO sorry for the loss of your Mom.
By the way, I like the rhyming scheme you used... 1st and last line rhythm. Neat!
