I said, "My sweet darling, you can tell by my voice,
upon your finger I will place a ring,
we'll consumate our union in bed", I did sing.

Her answer came back, it was sweet as a lark,
It left me no option, it was clear as a bark,
She said in a tone very much like Madonna,
"Listen, you bum. Marry you!, I don't wanna!".

So I reached for the phone and I called number two,
I said,"Sweetie, my dear, I'd sure marry you.
Upon your finger, a ring I would place
I'll love you forever", or until I need space.

Her answer came back, and it gave me a turn,
It left me no option, it gave me concern.
She said in a tone very much like a whale,
"A girl marry you?...they should put her in jail".

So I'm single you see but the fault's not with me,
I tried to get married but it's not meant to be.
If some day you find me, a girl who ain't smart,
With her, I will 'intro' and we'll never part. [comments] => 9 [counter] => 331 [topic] => 36 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

I wish I could help you I'm out of my mind
and I think my equipment is not the right kind
I've checked it all over but simply don't know
what bit is for what ....(it's so long ago)

But I'll keep my eyes open who knows I might see
Some suitable talent that you could marieee
That's if she will have you (should I offer inducement)
It could overcome any rapid refusement
