Rooted in a grove of desperation,
Giving off spurts of inspiration
to soon be consumed and forgotten,
like oxygen expelled from the uniform trees.

Latency
With death far too far off to see
and my Childhood laying at my feet
I clutch a box of remembered kisses,
and Strain towards memories just out of reach.

Urgency
Time slows, yet my world is now so intense
Always sleeping, but never finding rest
Burdened by a blanket of cold withdrawal,
Shaking in the aftermath of severance.

Dormancy
I know one day again the moon will rise,
and I'll awaken to the call of my name
My only purpose is to hear that call
Lying dormant, I am now enslaved. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 177 [topic] => 22 [informant] => DreamDecay [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
