[hometext] => Written in 1999 about what else? Love, lost.
[bodytext] => You’re far beyond the beauty of the goddess Aphrodite; and yet I held you in my arms. Mystical moment shared between souls in symphonic harmony. Solitary moment absolute perfection, the memory alone brings to ear beautiful music. The thought-vision of this moment of peace held captive in me forever. Quiet calm of trust was your heart for mine, the pulse visible in the sensuous curve of your neck. I close my eyes, the musical timbre of your sleeping breath wafts once more around me as smoke from smoldering fire. Yet when I open my eyes your breath is gone along with my dreams of shared reality. Never again will I be pulled within your perfect shape. Mentally beaten I am the bleeding shadow of former self. My wounds self-inflicted. Once more I have pressed the rusted nail of fear into the arch of my foot. Kneeling crippled upon the broken glass of our undoing, and I don’t want to feel this overwhelming self-hostility. Can I go back, back in time? Back to when there was something, something other than this painful emptiness. I want to go back, return to when you were my sleeping beauty.
