A single raindrop.
One blade of grass.

Things only touched once.
Then never again in it's life.

That's the way love is.
It touches you deeply once.
Then only memories, once it's gone.

But to keep that love alive more then once.
You have to believe it comes back.

So that delicate crystal,
becomes a window prisim.
That single raindrop,
helps a fountain run all day.
Ans that one blade of grass,
can hold many picnics on it.

You see, love hits us more then once.
It reappears in so many ways.
So I always keep my eyes open.
For all you need in life...is love. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 224 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Kirby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

So true, so true. I know I've been hit by love two or three times, and I'm still young. So I can tell you for a fact that it comes back!! No such thing as only finding love once. Great poem!

This was amazing. There was a lot that you said in this poem... that I haven't been able too.

"That's the way love is.
It touches you deeply once.
Then only memories, once it's gone."

... I may be young but I know love... because I have felt it. And you are right... it does touch more than once.

I loved this!!! -Amy

Thanks Amy for you great liking of my poem. My teachers even say that I can state something so different that it would take a whole page in regular terms. But thanks again! Love:::Kirby
