[hometext] => Old poem I wrote modeled from Carl Sandburg's Chicago, except that this is about my city!
[bodytext] => Sunshine Producer for the World, Sand Maker, Bringer of Money, Player with Colors and the Nation's Mosaic Masterpiece; Friendly, Playful, Carefree, City of the Singing Sun. They tell me you are unsympathetic and I believe them, for I have seen the lonely man sleeping among the cars. And they tell me you are wild and I answer: Yes, it is true I have seen the partying people fill the streets. And they tell me you are lazy and my reply is: On the faces of our people I have seen the laughter of unknown work. But come and show me another place with lifted head singing so proud to be alive and growing and free and colorful. Loud as a sea of red. Vibrant as the fire from the sun. Crazy Running Jumping Screaming Playing, Dancing, Partying Proude to be Sunshine Producer, Sand Maker, Bringer of Money Player with Colors and Mosaic Masterpiece to the Nation [comments] => 1 [counter] => 178 [topic] => 25 [informant] => starkindler [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )
