Pondering life
Thinking of death
To fall to the knife

Why were we born
To keep the species alive
Making us mere animals
Striving to survive

Nothing offers more
Nothing can give reasons
I need to know why
We fade like the seasons

If only one question
I'd ask it anyway
I need to know why
Good or bad either way

Mourners forsake it
Parents rejoice
I lack either feeling
Thinking only of the point

What does life offer
But small simple pleasures
Only few and far between
I could do much better

I withdraw from the world
A little more each day
Everyone's so happy
Knowing they'll die in some way

It seems like to much
To know one's own fate
Even though vague
I know what's at stake

My life for brief moments
Of feelings of sorrow
Feelings of happiness
Reoccuring tomorrow

Onward I go
Straining against the grain
With what little I know
And so little to gain [comments] => 4 [counter] => 285 [topic] => 36 [informant] => Darien [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

Give your self a chance,
First, you learn to dance
Then, you hold a girl
From that you learn
the wonders of the
universe
