Array ( [sid] => 1882 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => September 10-14 [time] => 2002-08-07 06:29:16 [hometext] => Everything I wrote in this poem is true and it happened to me. I'm sorry if I offened anyone but I had to get this off my chest. [bodytext] => Sept. 10: This is the greatest day of my life,
A girl has finally said yes, I might have a wife,
I gave her this poem “You Don’t Know”, but I hope she knows now,
And I know she’s the one for me, we’ll be together for a while.

Sept. 11: No I can’t believe it, I don’t know what to say,
I’m just so overwhelmed by the events that took place today,
We were taking a test in science, then my teacher received a call,
But when she turned on the t.v., that’s when we saw it all.

The twin towers had been hit, as well as the Pentagon,
Some of the pentagon is still left, but the Towers are gone,
The 4th hijacked plane crashed in Pennsylvania, from the actions of 4 great men,
So it never hit the white house, but it’s still sad how it had to end.

I don’t know who’s behind the attacks yet,
But when I find out who, his name I won’t forget,
But at least I know my girl loves me and she won’t attack my heart,
This foundation will always stand, this ***** will never fall apart.

Sept.13: So Bin Laden is his name, and terrorism is his game,
One man and his army did so much damage, America will never be the same,
Millions of flags have come out the closets, like it’s Forth of July,
I feel sorry for those who died, but to say I’m patriotic now would be a lie.

No flags were waved when Martin Luther King died, or when a man was dragged in back of a truck,
Or in the 50’s during civil rights, so what the *****,
Why should we wait for someone else to kill our people, for god to bless our land,
Because my people have been killed for years, and never once was a flag in your hand,

So whatever, I have a girl to take care of,
Even though she’s a little distant, I can still feel the love,
And I know it will all turn out right, and these bad premonitions will pass,
Because she just has to be the one for me, I know this love will last.

Sept. 14: I can’t believed she dumped me, and with some lame a** excuse,
Writing a note saying her dad wants her to focus on school, I don’t deserve this abuse,
I gave my heart and soul, but she didn’t think it was enough,
And now I’m left with nothing, I think I forgot how to love,

This really caught me off guard, I didn’t even see this come,
I really thought it’d last longer the this, I really thought she was the one,
I can’t remember having a girlfriend longer than a week, and this was like the rest,
I just can’t find the right girl, my love life is a mess.

I still can’t believe I did this though, I cried after I read her letter,
I wasn’t ready to hear that news, I wasn’t ready to just let her,
Leave out of my life, and after the attacks of this week,
I feel like I need someone right now, because my life is incomplete,

I cried for those who died Tuesday,
I cried because she left me and there are things I still need to say,
I cried because I might die if they ever attack again,
I cried because I know I may never fall in love again...... If one gets affeinded then they need to look within......
I really like this!!!!!!
Since that terrible tragedy,
My life has been changed!!!!!
don't want those brave men, the innocent lives, their families left here,,,,,,,I just want their deaths 2 count each day of my life!!!!!
Fear is what the devils want to put in our heart's............
REMEMBER
What the guy that took charge said,
(sorry can't remember his name right off top of my head)
YEAH THO I WALK THRU THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH,
i WILL FEAR NO EVIL FOR THOU ART WITH ME!!!!!!!!Don't know 'bout other folks but that brave man left behind some powerfull words to live by......Then again, theyve always been here and jus as powerfull but now other folks will snatch them and live by them!!!!!!
PEACE, LUV, HEALING, FREDOM OF SPEACH,, USA
take care!!!!
emy
By the way this is written well!!!!!

I really liked this poem. I totally agree about the patrism. We only post flags every were if there is a holiday or an accident. The same thing goes for crosses. I only see crosses where people have died. Well, God bless you. I hope you find a wonderful woman that will give everything to you, and you will do the same for her. God bless you in everything you do!

You know...you guys should really read up on your history...Ever hear of Martin Luther King Day??? The day in which we HONOR that man?? Sheesh come on...if you guys really aren't that patriotic..then what the hell is the point in living here in the US?? This is the land of the free. Let's see you go live in some other country for awhile and see how patriotic you become. And as for the flags and the crosses...Do you walk around with your eyes closed?? What exactly would you prefer we do?? You know this was a good poem..well written..but taking a slap at America especially during that particular time..was cold. I am sorry your girlfriend said No to you by the way. Guess I don't understand why you had to mix the two within this poem.
