Array ( [sid] => 18785 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Grounded In Mother Earth [time] => 2003-06-08 14:35:00 [hometext] => Its where I am most truly the natural me. Its where I feel the greatest harmony between my spirit and the things of the world.
[bodytext] => I'm grounded in Mother Earth.
She's my refuge here,...
a foretaste of what shall be
in my heavenly eternity.

Although I have many duties waiting
here, there, and everwhere,...
I still take the time to step out the door
to look upward into the ever-changing infinite skies,
to breathe deeply of the fresh exhilarating air.

Sitting myself on the solidarity of ground,
I lose myself by weeding between plants.
I prune and remove dead leaves
and evaluate my babies' needs.
My fingers find moisture and life
in the soil,
the source of earth's lively growth,...
so, I go to Mother Earth for peace,
finding no conflict there with God.
As I sit there on the stable earth,
I am who I'm supposed to be.
I've no need for choosing some priority;
I'm at one with God and nature
and the whole vast universe.
While sitting there,
surrounded by grasses,
shrubs, and trees,...
singing birds, hop-toads,
and fluttering flutterflies,...
I'm in tune with the time and season;
no need for rhyme or reason.
I'm there with a sense of timeless peace,...
alone,... but not,...
just Mother Earth, God, and me.

Dear Nessa, Yes, I do feel we are fortunate. I've noticed that some people don't see the world of tiny miracles in the nature that surround us every day. A big hug for you,
Bizzy
