makes me oh so sad
i don’t know why i feel this way
i’m hurting oh so bad

close our eyes and snuggle
and everything’s alright
wake up to our puddle
and prepare for the daily fight

the sad part of this lovely mess
is it’s not you or i
that disturbs our happy nest
it’s for others that we cry

what, pray tell, can we do
to save this sinking ship
how can we stay in love and true
~from our shoulders knock this chip?

answers i have not today
but wish they would come soon
all i wish for is my love
nestled under the moon…

watching you drive away
