and grabs onto his,
I hold it so apologetically,
and tears come to my eyes.

The regret and guilt
fill my heart,
I think of how stupid I am,
and how big my fear
of losing him is.

I beat myself up about it,
I worry,
I cry,
I try to find the solution
to make everything all right.

His arms encircle me,
and I wonder how he
can ever bear to hug me.

No matter how much
he says it's okay,
I still feel like dying.

We're fine now,
but I still feel upset.

He tells me not to worry,
he loves me
and he understands,
but I cannot cope with my pain.

I feel so upset with myself,
I don't know what to do.

I know he's not angry,
but within me,

I was really touched by this. It is so true that sometimes, someone else's understnading can actually make us feel worse about ourselves. You expressed your emotions beautifully.
