In my Porsche seven-one-eight
Pedal to the metal
Hoping I get there
And won`t be late
Listening to the tunes on the old radio
Those crazy musicians trying
To tell me what to do
One said I may as well jump
The other hating on Donald J. Trump
Up ahead I see some dudes
They point and stare with their hands in the air
Hey man, I love your Cayman
The pretty lady screams in my ear
Save me, save me,
These dudes give me fear
She jumps in and we`re off to see the show
Or maybe some other place
God only knows
Come on seven-one-eight
Now I got a date
Lets get it on
You know I hate to be late

This would make a great song!
I enjoyed the story line, and it is true that life is more fun when it is witnessed by others. We are by nature, show-offs!
What better way to do it than in a Porsche 718?

Reminds me of the Beach Boys song "409".
Kinda how I feel when Im driving by myself.
Its a "No Holds Barred" kinda feeling. Foot to the
floor, all or nothing.
But when someone is with me its just the opposite.
Subdued and trying not to scare the person or people
that are in the car with me.
I really enjoyed this. Makes me wish I was on the
road somewhere instead of at work.

////I`ll race ya` in my 2018 Ford Mustang GT. Ha! Not really, but I drove one for three weeks after some kid wrecked my car. His insurance had to pay for it. I`m not sure 0-60 is the same as the 718 without looking up the numbers but it was freaking quick. I take an entrance ramp quite often to get on HWY84 and all I know is by the time I hit the highway I could be going 100 mph and I never even floored the thing.

Great poem, JimmyTimmy.

Thanks,

Dugan
