How did you intoxicate me so,
how did you make me drunk without any wine?

The shape of your face my heart cannot let go,
etched in my mind lies your smile/'/s every line.

I close my eyes and hear your sweet voice singing at me,
your eyes tease me when I close my own.

Where you are is where I always want to be,
there is nowhere I could escape the passion you/'/ve shown.

How do you ask me then if I love you still,
how do you even doubt what I feel?

Without your love I have no free will,
your absence my fate will seal.

How do you control my dreams and my heart,
every single second and every beat.

How did you capture my soul from the start,
make me believe in life again - how did you do it? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 116 [topic] => 2 [informant] => LadyCC [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Love can overpower us it we let it. Sometimes it is best to just go with the tide rather than fight for control.
You poem speaks of one who surrenders to the intoxication, in amazement, as shown by the questions asked.
You do not question love, merely the method that overcame you. .

Hello my Darling

I don’t have an answer to your question. All I can say is I love you very much and would lay down my life to save yours, I would offer up my soul so that you would have eternal life with God. Thank you for loving me back.
