[hometext] => Robots are the future.
[bodytext] => Were replicating humankind with modern automation. Buiilding robots, playing God, toying with creation.
Who shall rule them, wholl enforce them; what shall robots be? Housekeepers or soldiers for all eternity?
Shall they vote, hold office, replicate at will? Shall they fight our wars for us, and know that they can kill?
Will they raise our children, know all our relations? Do our chores and run our homes for countless generations?
Shall they think, and never rest, and all our secrets keep? What will they be doing while we are fast asleep?
Wholl decide what they should know; and how long they survive? Can we turn them on and off, or shall they be alive?
Will they live among us, or live among themselves? Suppose that theyre defective; how are we to tell?
Shall they own themselves, or be sold like property? And if they mimic humankind; what then shall humans be?
There are so many questions, before we can resume; a robots not a toaster that can walk across a room!
Were toying with our destiny; without a star to guide us; creating a society that one day will deny us.

Great write!
We do know that the IRS is ready to now tax robots. We knew that was coming.
Maybe we will all become slave owners?
Build or buy our robots and send them off to work for us. A paycheck is a paycheck... |

Stockdale worries more about the IRS instead of the
hyper wealthy who con the government into allowing
them to rule while they themselves pay no taxes,
almost like a fool
And I wonder,
would the invention of robots come with patent rights
And would this intellectual property right be bigger
than the actual human beings the robots were manufactured to assist?
My daughter who is sixteen is now heading for college.
What I find amazing is that a retired astrophysicist from JPL spends hours and hours with young kids teaching them everything he knows, only because it makes
him happy to do so.
And by doing so, he changes the trajectory of these young people, gives them a special boost, they adore him, and it is free, there are no fees.
The Space station drives by in the night, a blip, you can see it in the open sky. A little dot racing by in the sky.
Just like you and me.
Unlike Keplick, who demands my output, who has torched my peoples agrarian lands and has turned us all into mindless slaves.
Peace! |
