Students are eagerly anticipating, that leadership offering each is awaiting.
But we all need a job temporarily; because bills must be paid; and rent isnt free.

Still, working all day was not part of our scheme; realitys trampling all of our dreams.
The want ads mislead, and when we are paid; the government takes most of what we have made.

Life is a teacher; whose lessons are cruel. We work at a window; we cant make the rules.
Were down below rowing; not steering the ship. Uniformed, badged, or working for tips.

The hardest lesson well ever learn; is that everything good has to be earned.

The reason we promise so easily; is that promises dont come with guarantees.
A dreams just a wish until it comes true; and your dream is out there counting on you.

they work hard the kids who were never
expected to go to college,
No they were never groomed, they picked it
up on their own, and yes, they know how to work
hard, actually after college,

they still do want to work hard.
The letter of success, a college degree,
will soon fade. So let it roll into the mystic,
as Van Morrison would say.

You youth, tell me what you shall do,
what you shall try, someday

You oh, glorious youth, glorious golden
virtue no life could ever hope to ever destroy

Vital, vestige, do say aloud

Peace!
