So I spilled my soul out on his bed.
They were packed so perfectly neat before,
Now I can`t fit them back in my head.

He wanted to see all my scars,
I displayed them for his viewing pleasure.
They were sewn shut so tightly before,
Now I can`t get the seams back together.

He wanted to feel my heart beating,
So I cracked my ribs open for him.
Pounding so hard, it just overheated,
Now I can`t get it running again. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 22 [informant] => allforyou [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Very clever! I like the rocking chair rhyme scheme, and the build up to the finale. You had me at the first line!
We always recall the ones that got away.
I love your memory.

// With the title summing everything up, this is an excellent poem. Thank you.

Some people want that "unconditional love" but they sure the /*****/ can/'/t give it back.

Take care of //you//.

Tim

Loved the raw emotion in this one.
The words pour out in this like your feelings and emotions when you met
Nicely done

Steve

There are those who will never be satisfied with all of it.
Sounds as if this is one of those instances! I have lived and died in a couple of those moments.
I/'/ve even painted this very same thought...what more can I give when I/'/ve already given everything I am?
Powerful thoughts. Take care!
Thanks for sharing!!!

this really speaks to me, it/'/s profound, raw. the imagery is so good, I felt every word as I read them. beautifully done.
