Spins, unevenly gyrating endlessly
Throwing events,spewing,raging!
and I am clinging on!

I feel from a vortex of uncertainty
The dogs of Brexit barking at me!
I am a leper colonised in a world
Of no debate, no reasoning,

Blessed are the peacemakers who
Internally rage in voiceless
Bewilderment at the dogs of war.
I sit in the cactus house with knowledge
Of the consequence of warmth and
Touch.

Who are we in the archives of history?
We are the plastics!the media dolls,
Swimming in seas of our own polymer
excreta.
Devouring till we drown.

And Mother Earth chokes,
Oesophageal rupture, till
The last drop of humanity slides
From the corner of her mouth.

You rage against things you are powerless to alter.
Your hypothesis is that we will destroy the earth; but that presumes that this generation will not take better care of it than you and I have.
Let us hope that there are others with your passion who will step up.

Brexit was not well thought through,
when most of us were hoping for some
unity in trying to figure out how to fix
our world, like the Paris Agreement on
Climate change, which was hopefully
just a start, where we knew that we
could do better by seeing the problems
of this world and working together to hopefully solve them
and stop all the stupid wars.
How long do we have to wait, those who have
no power and cannot wait forever must
lament. Don/'/t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for the world at large,
many of us do think!

Peace!

The first stanza had me hooked.....
Feeling the same way myself.
Great poem!
